Prehistory

The earliest man-made items in the collection are Middle Stone Age flints and stone axes, found around Strangford Lough. The late Edward Regan of Greyabbey collected a significant number of these, which he bequeathed to the museum. We also have flint tools and stone axes from the New Stone Age and bronze tools and weapons from the Bronze Age.
